"Postcards from the North" is a series of pastels on paper by Gregory Cary. Inspired by the vintage postage stamps in each work, Cary combines his experience designing stained glass windows with his sense of fantasy. Eleven works from the series of twenty are shown. Each is 8 x 5.5 inches mounted in deep shadow box mats with contemporary silver leaf frames. "North Borneo" is layered paper, 13 x 10 inches, with shadow box mat in a classic gold leaf frame.
